Hello,

My friend's laptop has this problem that, when testing the cpu under stress on cpu z it shows temperature reading at 60 degree celcius max but when it did something that involves the integrated graphics like playing videos or games the temp jumps to 81 and it starts to throttle.

The cpu is intel 2310M with hd3000 igpu. She just changed the thermal paste yesterday. I heard that installing a laptop cooling pad would help but I don't know how much it can contribute to cooling. Is there anything else that can be done to improve the temperature?

Best regards.

In laptop there is nothing you can do just clean the heatsink with blower and the cooling pad also wont help that much as it wont dirrectly cooling the CPU
