The '94th percentile' means that the Graphics score is in the top 6% of those that have ran the test. From the looks of it you have a pretty good system built, especially since this was your introduction to the PC building world. Hope you enjoy it.

UserBenchmarks: Game 71%, Desk 103%, Work 92%
( userbenchmark )

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K - 108.6%
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060-6GB - 66%
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB - 114.3%
HDD: WD Blue 1TB (2012) - 96%
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 2133 C15 2x8GB - 69.6%
MBD: Gigabyte Z370P D3

it says my gpu is Performing way below expectations (10th percentile)
what would be the reason for that?

used 2 different benchmarks..which would be more accurate?

Those are some pretty good specs to start with, especially that CPU. From the initial benchmarks you provided, the benchmark seems pretty true to life in that you have a a pretty mid range card. Where did you get this '10th percentile' from?

is it the ram itself or adding more ram would make a difference? i have room for 2 more slots. would it be better to get 2 more sticks of ram of the same to make it 32gb or a whole new ram set?

my gpu overclocks by itself not sure how to change that it usually goes to 1540- 1936mz when gaming
all games automatically run at ultra( highest setting) games look awesome in my opinion.

Honestly, all the benchmarks really tell you is how good your PC performs relative to other people's. Your experience should be dictated by your experience and just from a glance at those specs, it'll be a good one, the weakest part of your system is the memory and that can be overclocked if you really feel like it. Overall, just have fun with it.
