Hello everyone
im using a i3 2120 3.30 ghz in this past 3 years and i loved it , i even managed to play games like far cry 5 and primal with no problems
but times has changed and i want to get the i5 3570K and im asking if i'll see a difference between these two in performance
and i cant affored a 4th gen cpu fyi
and i saw a lot of bad comments about the psu thermeltake litepower which i want to buy
is it worthy ? i dont overclock and mess with voltages , i have a standard psu used like for a year , no problems yet

Solution
Going from a 2 core i3 processor to the 4 core i5 will definitely make a difference in games. It will likely be around a 30% improvement, depending on a lot of factors - IF you have a powerful enough graphics card.

But whether or not it is "worth it" is a matter of price. If you can slot the i5 into your current motherboard (be sure they're compatible, I don't know if 3xxx series CPUs work with your motherboard) ~$75 then go for it if you want that improvement.
But If you have to buy a new motherboard/ram just to slot in a 5 year old processor that still costs $200 used, then you should just save up and buy a new i5 (or used i7) instead.
Im so happy you came to the forums

you get on ultra about 30-45 fps on ultra wtih far cry primal, you decide if thats worth the upgrade(probably if its above 50 dollars its not)

about the thermaltake litepower, forget it , like completly forget about that unit. its bad.

If you don't plan to overclock, there's no point getting a K processor. I'm seeing eBay completed listing prices of about $75 for the 3570K, while the 3570 is only about $40. The i7-3770 is north of $100.
