So my dvi to vga converter i think is the problem. My vga cable works fine in my pc but when i put my converter to my gpu with the cable, i have no signal. I have an AMD Radeon 1gb gpu. A help would be fun, so i could play my favourite games again.

Yeah, some of those active digital to analog converters work OK, some are problematic. More than likely, that is the issue... assuming everything else is correct and the card is properly seated. Might be time to invest in a modern monitor, either new or used.

Which adapter are you using? The active adapters are all pretty much the same, although I imagine there are some junk ones out there.
This one worked perfectly for one of the other posters here on the forum.

I am using a dvi-i to vga converter. But i think its windows, since my device management doesn't even recognise the gpu. Only the motherboards integrated gpu.

That sounds like your monitor is still plugged into the iGPU port. Is it?
