In my BIOS I noticed all my PCI lanes are running at half speed. My GPU is running at x8 and My PCI SSD is running at x4. I feel like it should be double that.

I have attached a few pictures of my BIOS showing PCI slots and other information.

PC
CPU: i7 5820k
GPU: Rx480
Mobo: x99 MSI Godlike
Drives: NVME PCI SSD, M.2, Sata SSD

Any other information I'll be glad to provide

Pictures of my BIOS

The position of the mouse cursor indicates that particular PCI slot.

Solution
I only have a graphics card and the intel SSD in the pci slots
That means you did something like sli ( GOU + the intel ssd in pcie slot).

That why the gpu will run x8, but after you unplug the ssd, the GPU will run at the right speed.

Also you will be fine when the rx480 runs at x8. Here is one review, even it is old but you will have ideal about the x8 vs x16. https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Impact-of-PCI-E-Speed-on-Gaming-Performance-518/

Thanks for your answer. I only have a graphics card and the intel SSD in the pci slots, nothing else. but for some reason my graphcis card was running at x8. I took the SSD out and now my Graphics card is running at x16. dont know why that happened.

The pictures are definitely different, notice the mouse cursor in each picture and the writing on the bottom of each picture, it will tell you more info about the PCI slots.
Also, you will notice my intel PCI SSD is populating TWO PCI slots in the picture when in reality its only populating ONE slot, very strange.

Thanks for your help
