Hi thanks for looking at my post. How do I go About looking for a real recovery drive from my windows PC gateway we bought it in 2013. I’m totally confused I’m not computer savvy and think you can download one but because I want to restore it back to factory. about looking for a recovery drive from my Windows PC gateway way but it in 2013. I’m totally confused I’m not computer savvy I think you can download one but because I want to restore back to factory settings but I don’t know The computer keeps saying I need the recovery data disc back to restore it but I Lost it.

Most OEM pc's have a factory restore partition built into the HDD that you access while its booting up. The option will be presented to you at the bottom of the screen at the same time as the option to enter the bios/setup. (it was Alt+F10 on the last Gateway I worked on) next you would select the Factory Restore option and confirm your selection.

if there no restore partion you your hard drive. google your model pc on ebay see if someone is selling the old cd that came with the pc. if you cant find the disk on ebay then your pc vendor will send you a disk for a small fee.
