Hello,
just bought a completely new system, brand new ASUS mobo, TUF Z370-pro gaming, brand new i7-8700 8th gen (coffee lake), and Corsair Vengeance 16GB kit DDR4 3000mhz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) which is included in QVL of the mobo.

assembled, started, intalled windows 10 pro os;
during win updating i got a sudden reboot and then the system never POSTed again

I'm stuck on pre-post phase where I get CPU led to shortly blink follow by DRAM led, and the process repeats forever;
I tried MemOK button, I tried erasing bios, even with battery disconnection, and I get that everytime,

first thought to the RAM modules, could they have failed suddenly? i've tested them in different postions and also one by one on the A2 socket (otherwise obviously i get beep for no dram installed)
I've got another ram stick coming for a test, but the error seems so strange to me I'm worried it's something more serious (CPU? mobo??)

any suggestion/help appreciated...

greets!

just tried this afternoon the new ram, two different types of ddr4 both are in the QVL of the motherboard, same thing, no boot only alternating red and amber leds (red cpu amber is dram), I'm trying to arrange the CPU change, I really hope is not the mobo,
any other ideas on what to try?
