Worse performance in games with new cpu.

I got an Athlon X4 845 to replace my a8 6600k in my a55bm-e motherboard and i get worse performance in games like CS:GO Fortnite and Rust than the previous processor. The a8 isnt more powerful as its effective speed in user benchmark is lower than the 845 . Could this be an issue with switching from fm2 to fm2+?

Why would you even up(side) grade.

Performance is virtually identical , all they did with the 845 is a slight gain in ipc & efficiency.
Then dropped the clock speeds to get a lower tdp.

Yeah well that big a drop means something is wrong.

You updated the board to the latest bios ??

What gpu are you using ?
