My newly bought 4790K is getting HOT

When I run OCCT at stock speed I get a CPU temperature of 93c. It can't be my cooler. It appears to be working fine. I can tell the pump is running. The fans spin fast. The pump RPM goes to 1850RPM. I have a Corsair H105. On my 4770K with liquid metal on the CPU I got great temperatures. I could even run 1.5v on the vcore and temps would stay below 90c if I underclocked my RAM to 1333MHz. I have 2400MHz DDR3 RAM. I think it might be this thermal compound causing the problem. Protronix series 7. Because it ran fine with the liquid metal but now I get horrible temperatures with either CPU. I also used the thermal compound on my laptop because it was overheating. It's still overheating. I'm not sure if the thermal compound is the problem or not but it didn't work on my laptop and it's not doing well on my desktop.
