WD 2TB External HDD is USB 3.0 but Speccy says SATA 2 (3Gbp/s) instead of 3 (6Gbps)?

I also have a 4TB Seagate external self-powered HDD. It's also USB 3.0. Speccy says that one is SATA III (6 Gbp/s)

I've updated the Firmware to the latest (1022) for WD. Switched USB 3.0 cables. Still SATA 2 instead of 3.

Any ideas?

Solution
As even the SATA II spec is capable of 375 MB/sec transfer rates, there will be little difference in bulk transfer speeds....and it might just be Speccy reading the capabilities/issues with that particular drive...

Do a transfer of list of files from each drive to you C : drive, seeing if any noteworthy differences in speeds between the two drives..(avoid testing over network, unless you have better than 1 GB/e connections, which is rare at home)
