Amd A4 6300 to FX6300

I’m relatively new to pc gaming and I recently tried to play a new game but i was getting at most 20 FPS. I have an AMD A4 6300 and I was thinking about getting an AMD FX6300 but I don’t know what else I would have to replace/ if the fx would fit correctly.

If you're getting that cpu for free, why not. Otherwise don't waste your time. The 6300 is too old and below system requirements for lots of new games.

What I suggest doing is lookup the "recommended" requirements for a new/newer game you want to play and build a system based around that.

The game I was trying to play was rainbow six siege. My graphics card is a GeForce 1030, I have 8GB of RAM and the power supply is 10A 250V

Here are the minimum requirements for that game:

OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core
CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)
RAM: 8 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X
VRAM: 2 GB
