Hi, I've recently bought Dell laptop with an i3 6006u. It comes with Samsung OEM DDR4 - 4 GB/2400 RAM and 1 TB of Seagate HDD. The performance is pretty poor.
However, I cannot decided between SSD or RAM upgrade, even I gear toward an SSD for future use in PC.
As I'm living in BKK/Thailand, the cheapest components I could find are listed as below:
[strike]RAM - (54.91 USD) Kingston HyperX DDR4 4 GB\2400
SSD - (86.28 USD) WD Green 240 GB
or SSD - (101.97 USD) WD Blue 250 GB[/strike]
or SSD - (111.38 USD) Samsung 860 evo 250 GB
Thank you.
Update: I've decided to upgrade my laptop with 860 evo 250 GB.
The Good - The performance is noticeably phenomenon w/o any benchmark required!
The Bad - However, Samsung's clone software did not work properly but after a few googling I've found alternative solutions.
The Ugly - Sometimes my whole system cannot gain the full potential of the SSD. The CPU (i3 6006u) works 100% most of the times while utilizing almost of the RAM (4 GB) available.
