GPU fans start and stop on startup

Pc boots, everything turns on. But graphics card fans turn off after roughly 10 seconds. They were working fine previously but seemed to cease function recently when I took out my cpu to clean it, and reinstalled it. Before my monitor just wouldn’t read the card.

The specs:
Motherboard: X370 Pro
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7
GPU: GTX 1060
Memory: Samsung 250GB sata III, 1TB hard drive, and 3TB hard drive
RAM: 2 sticks Aegis ddr4 8gb

Please help, I have limited time to fix this or do anything with it due to work obligations. I really didn’t want to mess with all of this stuff but ended up getting thrown into it for some reason.

I would assume that its a PSU issue but you didn't' include that in your specs are all cables connected?

did you check if it is seated right and that he clip on the motherboard if it is at a angle wont work .

The psu is a bronze 650 watt power supply, and yes it’s seated properly. I tried it in my moms computer and it works fine. Just in my current rig it’s havinf issue.

your mom have a gpu could you try it in your system to see if the fans on is does the same also name and model of this psu .

WAIT A MINUTE, you to your cpu out to clean it? it is possible that you bent pins somewhere when you put everything back together. possible that that is why it isnt booting up. why did you clean your cpu?

I made sure not to bend any pins, only used isopropyl alcohol and a very soft toothbrush. And a cotton swab to dab up some extra liquid. No bent pins I can see. A friend said I could have shorted out my motherboard. But I’d doubt that’s the case since it allows for everything else to function perfectly as it’s supposed to

this psu came with 2 pci-e cable and have 2 output did you try both cable and ouput on psu for gpu .

If you mean onboard graphics then yeah, it has the same problems

what i was asking is try try your mother gpu in your system for test and since you have another system under hand see if you could also use is psu to power test your system .

unfortunately I found it was indeed a bad stick of ram. I had tried it every way but when I tried it multiple ways it worked. Thanks for your help guys.
