Computer freezes except cursor, then black screens.

This often happens when playing video games, it doesn't matter which, and doesn't happen every time I play certain video games but every once in a while I'll be in a LoL game and the game and whatever I'm looking at on my second monitor freezes, all audio continues, and my mouse still moves. After 3-5 seconds it black screens and audio cuts out. Any clues or help?

Could be because of high temperatures .
I would like you to monitor your gpu and cpu usage along with their temperatures using msi afterburner .

My un-overclocked GTX780TI classified k|ngp|n edition gpu clocks in at a whopping 58°C when idle and under the stress of 1280x720 max settings LoL it clocks in at 72°C
CPU clocks in at a 62°C idle and 76°C under the same stress. It's the i7 4930k

As far as I'm aware it's easily capable of providing power...

Specs include:
PSU- CX650M
GPU- GTX780ti Classified K|NGP|N
CPU- i7-4930k
RAM- 16GB Dominator Red
MOBO- ASUS P9X79
Cooling unit for CPU- Cooler Master Hyper 212EVO 1x 120mm

The temperature seems a bit high though but shoudn't be the cause of your problem .

I think it should be your os try reinstalling it ! ( i know its a pain but still u gotta do anything to fix the issue )

BAD sectors usually results in windows crashing which doesn't seems to happening over here but yea you never know could be the hard disk !

So would I create an Image of the current files (in full) or completely factory reset?
