Hi I have x1 16gb sitck of DDR4 HyperX Fury ram 2400mhz, if I bought another single ram duplicate to the current one I have will it work in dual channel? So essentially x2 16gb sitck of DDR4 HyperX Fury ram 2400mhz but they were bought seperate.

32GB of RAM sounds meaty to me with a possible dual channel. But how common is it that it will preform dual channel?

What would you do take the risk and have 32GB of ram possible dual channel or sell the current ram and order x2 8GBs ?

Do you actually need 32gb ram ??

Outside of heavy productivity & raw image photo editing 16gb is more than enough.

If the sticks work together it will run dual channel , simple as that.

Swapping 1 x 16gb out for 2 x8gb seems a lot of hassle really to me though, unless you have a buyer quick and dont lose too much money on it.

What board & cpu are we talking about ?

I dont need 32GB of RAM at all but if I were to sell the ram I would more and likely sell for £90 to £70 then stick the rest for x2 8GBs which on overclockers is sitting at £150 as of now
