Hello guys.
I don't really understand these things, so I need your help. I had my old graphics card for a long time, which my friend connected to PC and today I bought a new one. I couldn't connect monitor and card so my friend told me i need an DVI HDMI Adapter. The problem is my monitor cable is VGA.
What i need to buy or do? New cable or do I need a new monitor?
Thanks for your feedback!

Solution
Your new card probably has HDMI and DVI outputs, it's preferable to go with an
- HDMI male to VGA female adapter that you connect to your new graphic card HDMI port then attach it to your monitor D-SUB (VGA) cable,

- or you can go with an HDMI male to D-SUB male CABLE running directly from graphic card HDMI port to your monitor d-sub port.

What card do you have? majority of new cards do not have a VGA port, so a new monitor wouldnt be a bad call. or you could buy a VGA to DVI/HDMI but using VGA you are holding yourself back as VGA is just outdated

(Best choice because you don't have to worry about card DVI port layout)

I know that VGA is outdated, but my old graphics card just died, and i do not have another one, I need to make money for the new monitor and that will take some time, so for now I would prefer some cheaper solution, you know.
So what do I need to buy? I need to connect my VGA monitor to my GTX 1060.

Well then id recommend you buy an adapter VGA to HDMI as the guy above said you dont need to worry about the different pins like you do with DVI. So go with HDMI you can pick one up for around £5 and save up for a new monitor
