cs go 60fps cap for no reason

Hi,I have this problem since like a week,there was a windows cumulative update then btw,and when I tried playing cs go today(haven't played for like a week) the fps was locked to 60 for no reason,tried everything,please give me some new tips,not the ones you get if you google,as those didn't help
EDIT
Fixed it by restarting my laptop,I know I'm dumb :/

Yet another problem fixed by turning it off, then back on again. As sad a meme as it is, it does work pretty often.

Could it be your monitor is capping the frames? My asus monitor has a refresh rate setting.
Typically most G-sync monitors have the ability to switch between different refresh rates.

Well, I'm not sure what old tips that Google gave you, but have you verified the in game settings and made sure vsync isn't enabled? Or maybe it got enabled in your graphics card drivers program somehow. A Windows update might not cause that, but a graphics driver update might.

Could you list the steps you've already taken?

1.Checked gpu control panel,everything is good
2.I have a laptop,so no monitor problems
3.Disabled vsync
4.Verified game integrity
5.Deleted config
But somehow I managed to fix it with a restart,wtf

If I had to guess... probably a temp file got messed up in all the updates. Then it reset when the program restarted and bounced it against the hard settings. Honestly I have no idea. For all we know an x-ray from an alien gas creature 6 billion light years away could have flipped a bit in your RAM.

Sometimes computers do things that we just can't explain.
