Solution
high class gaming? standard gaming? or gaming with some multitasking or gaming with so much multitasking?

for gaming purpose only, i5 8600k is more than enough

standard gaming? i5 8400 / 8500 or r5 1600x or r7 1700x can do good

with some multitasking? same with above

hardcore multitasking? from r7 to threadripper then

which one?

since you asking only gaming, then i5 8600k is my recommend (going 8700k is likely overkill)

Depends, budget wise AMD is a good choice but with the newer CPU's you'll want to overclock them to match Intel performance. For just plug n play then I prefer Intel as there's really no need for overclocking and with the release of the budget boards (H310/B360/H370) options such as the 8100/8400 are quite good now and there's no need to get more expensive RAM (Ryzen performs better with faster RAM, Intel not so much).
