I have an lg 60lb5200 tv and i just purchased the lg bh5140s blu-ray home theater system. The blu-ray and speaker system work perfectly. Speaker test worked fine and everything i do from the blu-ray (netflix, disc, radio) comes through the speaker system. But I can't get my tv/cable sound to come through the speakers as well. They are already connected through an HDMI cable and I bought a digital optical audio cable today but I can't get that to work either. The cable itself came with a weird cap/attachment thing that I assumed was an adapter but I've plugged it into every port in my tv including one that is labeled "coaxial digital audio out" and that is not working either. I have tried to go into the settings on the tv but there isn't an option to set it to an external audio source. The only option is to turn the tv speaker off/on. The lg tech support told me the two devices were not compatible and there was nothing I could do. Any suggestions or am I out of luck???
