gtx 1060 vs rx 580 with freesync

Should I get get a gtx 1060 with freesync (yes I know it won't work) or an rx 580 with freesync? I am using an i5 8400.

the 1060 is much power efficient and have slightly better overall performance, but users are praising on AMD Free Synchronization and apparently it's worth coping with the Rx 580 extra power consumption, your decision might be easier if you have a free synchronization monitor.
