Router settings for a forwarding

hi, I'm having troubles connecting from Internet to my home DVR.

I have static IP; I'm connected with some pppoe device and next device is my wi-fi router.

I have Internet with this configuration of router./ My TP-link router is config with dynamic IP on WAN and it is not tha same like public IP./

I talk with Internet supplier and they set on their device some port triggering for 37777/TCP

I don't understand to much but i read some manuals and try some settings on router. Set DVR network settings and try forwarding to port 37777 on DVR IP but it is not work after router reboot.
Then I clean that i set and try port triggering: Trigger Port-37777/Trigger Protocol-TCP/Incoming Port-37777/Incoming Protocol-TCP but it is not work.

How to reconfigure it to work?

To connect you need your public ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: port This doesn't need to be static. You just need to know what it is. speedtest or something will display it.

To port forward you need the DVRs private ip and the port. 192.168.xxx.xxx: port It's ideal to have a static for this. It probably won't change much, but it might after a power loss or a factory reset on the router. Make sure you don't have more than one router at home. A lot of modems are also routers now.

I think I understand every thing I need.

I configured it and it's work.

I will write everything i done. First I reset the TP-link. Then I talk with Internet supplier to config their device with some port triggering for my ports. I set DVR network configuration...
Sounds like you have 2 routers in the path. If you have a static public ip then that address should be the WAN address on the tplink.

You must do port forwarding on the device that actually has the public ip pointing to your tplink wan ip and then port forward again the the tplink.

Depends why you actually have the tplink device. You might be able to just use the PPPoE router or maybe you can set the pppoe router to bridge mode so it runs only as a modem and your tplink device would get the actual public ip.

And i think so, but the static IP i paid for don't set on TP-link WAN. I see different IP on WAN.
I will connect to Internet supplier to assist me for their device.

I will write everything i done. First I reset the TP-link. Then I talk with Internet supplier to config their device with some port triggering for my ports. I set DVR network configuration to DHCP. Then add DVR MAC address to DHCP list to take every time specific IP. Then config router port forwarding to DVR IP and port.
After reboot everything work fine.

PS: The router doesn't work well. May be firmware problem. I borrowed it for another one. And I have not problem.

Thanks to every one for educated me. I don't understand how bridge mode work, but I will read some tutorials. Thanks again.
