Hi,
Now I have logitech z506. It's great for movie and game but not that good for music. And it's too many wire going around on my desk. So, I'm thinking about getting soundbar.
Is it good idea at all? Or should I go with logitech z623?
I've found LG sj5 to be affordable.
If anyone is using soundbar with pc, please share your experience. ^_^
Thank you all. Have a nice day ^_^

Now, I have been using Z623 for several years.
I am using mainly my Sennheiser HD599 headphone+ASUS Essence STX2 tho'.

Z623 is quite good for the price. Movies sound quite cool. The subwoofer is quite clean (for the price) and strong.
It is acceptable for music but far from reaching such class like my Nubert Nubox home theater speakers+ yamaha av receiver set in my living room.
Trebel on Z623 is there but not that strong.
The main problem with Z623 is the mids. The mids are missing quite a lot.
Z623 is ok for the price, among the best for the price I would say.

Experience of using soundbar/soundbase for PC,
I heard SJ5 only in a store once, thus, I can not say much about this but it sounded to me to be not that different to Z623.
Ah...
The sound quality is more or less on the same class.
You can not really expect good sound quality on those price level.

The surround sound effect from any soundbar is depending much on wall behind you.
This is the main problem if you plan to use soundbar for PC as you sit near to the soundbar and blocking the path from the soundbar to any wall behind you.
If you use a SJ5 for PC speaker, it will act just like Z623 or any normal 2.1 PC speakers.

For music, you do not need that surround effect. Surround effect is more for movies and games.

I would not actually take Z506 if you have room space issue. To get the max of Z506, you need to place those 5.1 speakers correctly around you.
The idea of placing all of those speakers on your desk is already way out wrong from the start.
Z506 actually wins on surround sound effect, if you placed the 5.1 speakers correctly as they are meant to be, not all on desk.

You mentioned music, this is where it gets hard.
For music, if you are among the audiophile, Z623 and SJ5 are not for you.
Yes, price is the main limiting factor.
You can not really expect much from this price range.

The battle here between Z623 and SJ5 is more on the desk space factor, something you can place on your desk/table.
I would focus more on the desk space issue.
Z623 tend to take less room on the desk but the subwoofer is wired, which could be an issue with the space under the desk.
SJ5 tend to take more room on the desk but since you can place the subwoofer somewhere else, the space under the desk can be free.
Remember that the placing on your desk depends on your desk layout. Which one is the better one, is only for you to decide.

Ah, I used Sony XT-HT1 soundbar once for PC. well...soundbars for PC are only like normal 2.1 speakers to my ears.
XT-HT1 bass is not as strong as Z623 and SJ5.

So, from sound. Both Z623 and SJ5 should be mostly alike.
Desk space is more interesting :)

I know Z506 was a bad choice. I've never had exp with 5.1 surround sound system. So, I wanted to try and bought 2months ago. And I thought it would act like a 2.1 speaker for playing music but it's not. I thought rear speakers would play like front speakers. And it's not.
I think I'm fine with SJ5 act just like 2.1 pc speaker. In my country, there are not many choices for soundbar.
There's a razer soundbar though. But it's way too expensive from its original price. Price is around 350$.
SJ5 is around 30$ more expensive than z623. I like the look of soundbar. hehe
My desk is 6'x3' and it's housing 2 monitors(32" and 25")(not muti-screen step-up) and 1 pc casing.
I think it should be enough space for soundbar.
Thanks for your advise. ^_^
