Hello,

I am doing high overclocks of my I7 8700k I recently bought EK S240 and I am very happy of it

1,360V , LLC level 5 , 5ghz , I get around 69-70 degrees on stress test, other time doesn't goes more than 35-50, but I want to achieve something better because my VRAM is going hotter, so I am thinking of buying a Monoblock, but I am not sure if it really helps and also because is cooling the motherboard and the CPU , I am not sure if the temps of my CPU are going to be higher.

My second questions is about radiators, as I said I am using EK s240 , the radiator is 25mm thickness, and I want to add my GPU in the loop in the near future, so was thinking if I buy now EK XE 360 with 3000rpm fans (I currently use 1850 on my 240 mm radiator) which is 60mm thickness, does it going to lower my temps and handle the monoblock or just the CPU better and more stable, and I will leave my S240 for my GPU and I will only change the fans to 3000RPM as well.

My Rig is:

CPU: Intel i7 8700k 5GHZ OC
FAN: EKWB 240S KIT
Motherboard: Asus Prime-a Z370
GPU: MSI GTX 1080ti Gaming X
RAM: ADATA 16gb 3000mhz
PSU: EVGA G2 750W
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 256gb
HDD: WD 1tb 7200RPM
Case: Corsair Crystal 570x RGB

I need advice about do I need monoblock and 60mm thickness radiator for better results?

Larger radiator will do more for your cooling than a monoblock would, but if you can afford it, the monoblock will also assist in thermal stabilization of the motherboard. Likewise, you could make sure you have enough active airflow over the motherboard itself - this should be all that is needed, really.

For thicker radiators like the XE 360, running those 3000 rpm fans in pull will benefit you better than push. I have some 3000 rpm Scythe Ultra Kaze's and while they do a good job, they work much better pulling air through the heat exchanger than trying to force pushing it through.

I am going to use Vardar 3000 RPM, I really like them so I will give them a try. Also I am not about money when I want to do something for my PC, not that I'm rich :) I just like to make it properly, so I might buy new motherboard like Asus Maximus Hero, and add 60mm thickness radiator XE 360 with the fans, and hopefully I will get even better results of overclocking.

Are my current temps good for 5 GHZ ?
