Hello guys. I'm thinking of updating my system. Ryzen 7 2700x looks like a good option, but I'm so confused about ram. Some people say I have to pick 3200mhz or more and 14 cas. So I was thinking about g.Skill TridentZ F4-3200C14D-16GTZRX which I read is compatible for ryzen, but I checked the memory compatibility in 2 different motherboards site and the code wasn't there, the F4-3200C14D-16GTZR was there tho (no "X" in the end of code). I would like like some help picking the right motherboard and memory for my upcoming ryzen build, I prefer both of them to be rgb and in 400€ price range.
Also if you have any good info post/forum to 'update' my ram knowledge would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Solution

Yes. Most cheap rgb stick is adata xpg rgb stick.
You can buy 2x8gb ddr4 2400mhz. But only able to clocked at 2800mhz at stabled status. Otherwise it become unstable.

The two I listed in my original post, are both compatible also are there any difference between the two? They have the same speed and cas latency, though one of them are 20€ more expensive.
