Hello all
I'm currently upgrading my gear which is:
CPU: Intel I7-4790k
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97-D3H
Memory: Kingston DDR3 (2x8) - 1600
Graphic Card: GTX 970 4 giga

The CPU choice will be between 8700k/ 1700 OR 2700x
Motherboard: is depending on the CPU
The memory will be upgraded to G,skill 32G (2x16) - 3200 ddr4

The CPU I'm Choosing between them now are Intel I7 8700K and Ryzen 1700 or Ryzen 2700x.

what making me so lost that I have never tried any of AMD processors so I have no experience with them, also the too much comparison between them left me more confused about what I have to go for

I need some help to make a final decision about what I will go for between the processors mentioned above

Note that: The PC will be used mainly for architecture work such as running design and engineering soft wares (3Ds Max, Revit, Rhinoceros, Vray, Lumion....) , doing lot of rendering and working between multiple programs in the same time

i think 8700k with decent z370 motherboard is a better choice.

ram compatibility with 2x16gb on that speed, i'm not sure how ryzen memory controller will do.

gskill memory qvl shows that z370 is pretty much compatible with all of their 16x2 kits. ryzen is quite tricky.

cpu wise, i would say ryzen maybe on par if not faster than 8700k for multicore loads, but the platform is still not mature enough.
