I used 3 mixed ethernet cables just for my router to reach my pc. My pc is on the 3rd floor while the router's on the first floor. I just used a standard ethernet cable coupler for the 3 cables to reach it. My internet is 80mbps yet I get 10mbps from my pc when I speed test it

That is not the cables, your actual download speed you get compared to the one you are given by your provider is usually around 8 times less, so 10 mbps would make sense. I have a 200mb package and i rarely get over 30 mbps. If you were actually geting 80mbps that would be ridiculously quick.

Nah dude
my download speed is 1mbps and I assume its because of the 3 lan cables
when I speed test downstairs I get 80mbps DL and UP speed
Yet when I do it upstairs its 10 for both

Check all the cores in the cable are actually terminated in the RJ45 plugs, some cables aren't. Also check all 8 contacts are present in the joiners. This isn't the ideal solution. Helloworld is confusing himself between MBps and mbps, (hence the factor of 8, Bytes and bits).

Without a network analyzer it's hard to test the cable speeds. If you can run a single length of cable from 1 to 3. Check the terminations and reterminate any iffy connections. Cable that is stripped or untwisted too far back can affect performance.

The problem with a software based test is you need two computers. One at each end. It does work however.
