I have Asus X550CA laptop. I have issues in restarting the laptop. The Laptop starts with great difficulty after pressing the power button multiple times and only when it is connected to charger and battery is fully charged. But once ON, it works fine without any issues. Also if I select restart option there are no issues, but shutdown and restart, putting the laptop to sleep or hibernating, the same issue persists. I did went to Asus service centre and they just mentioned it is motherboard problem. I doubt this as it works fine once ON.

Solution
Sounds like you may have a few problems. One being the power button. If it is not functioning correctly, you may well have to have it replaced. and two being a power issue with the battery. It sounds like the battery may not be putting off enough power to start it, hence the need to have it fully charged and connected to the charger to turn it on. If that is the case, the only fix is to replace the battery.
