I have an Aorus 1060 GPU (3 fans) with 8-pin connector. I turn on the pc with all 8-pins connected using the Raidmax RX-730 SS PSU, the fans/lights on my GPU do not power on and receive the beeps. However, if I use just the 6-pin without the extra 2-pin connects, the GPUs fans/lights power on and there is an error on the screen saying to plug in the PCIe cable(s) but no longer beeps. Please help.

'Could be your PSU - Raidmax are one of the worst brands on the market - that's being polite.

That would be my number 1 suspect.'

Yes, I have been using this PSU for over 5 years now, but do you think it could be a sensor on my GPU? I am strapped on cash, and would like to be more informed. Since I have not seen this issue anywhere on this forum or Google.

In this types of situations you cannot be 100% sure, you must go by elimination, 1st thing and the most likely the psu is faulty, 2nd thing and not likely the videocard is faulty. The psu might not have enough power to feed to the videocard in 8 pin that's why in 6 starts. usually 700W raidmax psu has 300-400W usable and very very cheap electronic components which get burned really fast. Go for a Seasonic or Corsair (RMi,HXi,AXi) 500-550W.
