Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO will it fit in my motherboard?

Im about to upgrade my CPU and with it im getting the Hyper 212 EVO and 2x 4GB of ram, but after watching a video I am concerned it will not fit my motherboard with the extra RAM I am getting. My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-78LMT-USB3-rev-41#ov)

Get a Cryorig H7 instead. Slightly better cooling with full RAM clearance.

That said, have you considered saving for a new CPU/Mobo/RAM combo? The FX series is dead.

It should, Cooler Master says it supports the AM3 socket.

Ill definitely get that instead although it looks a lot bigger on amazon (Looking at the Cryorig CR-H7A) , and yes but right now that's out of my budget unfortunately.

The H7 is shorter than the Hyper 212 and does not stick out over the RAM at all due to the bent heat pipes angling the tower away from the RAM on the H7.

The coolers below are angled opposite, but the side the fan is on would be the side facing your RAM slots. Look how much further the Hyper 212 fan sticks out past the base of the cooler that goes over the CPU.

Cant' edit my post above for some reason. But the Hyper 212 is the top image and the H7 is the bottom image.

One can always mount the fan in a pull orientation on the opposite side of the cooler to clear ram.

A better similarly priced cooler is the scythe kotetsu.
