PC does not boot from SSD after BIOS update

I have a HP 280 g2 mt desktop having a samsung 850 evo ssd as boot disk. Post a bios update the pc won't boot from the ssd.it is stuck in the HP logo. however windows can be installed and booted on the HDD.Also the SSD is not recognised by the PC anymore.Please help

In that case, you may wish to try resetting the bios with only the SSD attached. Make sure it is attached to the SATA0 or SATA1 header, whichever is the lowest numbered option.

Shut down, unplug the power, disconnect all but the ssd, remove the cmos battery, hold the power button down for about 30 seconds, reinstall the cmos battery, reconnect power, power on and press delete, F2, ESC or whatever is necessary on your board to enter the bios, repeatedly, until the bios screen appears.

Do NOT reconnect any other drives at this time. See if you can get into the bios in this way. Follow every step exactly as outlined. If you get into the bios then reset using the default or optimal default setting option, save settings, exit and reboot.

You need to go back into the bios and reconfigure. EVERY time you update the bios on most boards, you need to reconfigure the bios because the update will wipe out the settings.

First, I'd unplug the power and remove the cmos battery for a few minutes, then put the cmos battery back in, plug in the power, go into bios and configure boot settings. OR, use the motherboard cmos reset jumper to reset bios, then go in and configure. Be sure that either the SSD is configured for the first boot device or that the Windows 10 boot manager is.
