I need help and suggestions on my first gaming pc build.

So I woke up one day and decided that I wanted to start pc gaming, I played on console for my whole life only playing pc games here and there, but nothing serious just games like LoL and random free games on steam. But I somewhat recently just got my first job and I already have an interview for a second one. I got the second one just so I could save up for this pc. I had talked about wanting to switch to pc gaming for a while but never actually did, But Iam actually determined this time because Iam kind of tired of console gaming, the ps4 is cool and all but I figured it was time for me to switch to pc. For obvious reasons that I will not state here. Any way now that I got that annoying back story out of the way I was wondering if any of you would like to help me pick the parts for my first build. I tried doing it myself but I could never decide on anything. I was thinking about going pre built but then I said **** that. I know that I want to play a variety of games including AAA titles at 1440p max settings and high frame rates. Ill give my self a budget of $3,000. Not including peripherals. Well I guess ill let you guys do the rest seeing as you have more knowledge than me. Also I want to be able to play vr games as well and if you guys have any suggestions on monitors I would greatly appreciate it. I would like a monitor that is 144hz, 1440p and good ms, and one that is a good size. I would also ask for a curved one but I feel like that would be asking too much but if you can manage it awesome. I already know what mouse, keyboard and headphones I want. Oh and Iam assuming the monitor would also have to have g-sync as well but Iam not sure if that matters depending on the graphics card you have or not. Oh almost forgot I would also like to download mods as well, most of them being graphics mods of course, and in terms of the cooler I would feel more comfortable with an air cooler instead of liquid cooling because Iam scared of the water leaking in my pc and damaging parts but if you feel that if its required I will go along with it. Maybe Iam scared for nothing who knows. Alright well I think that is it I look forward to seeing what you brilliant people can do, I hope my budget is reasonable with what I chose if not you can tell me and I will make changes if required. I look forward to joining this awesome community of gamers within the next couple of months which is how long it will take to save up for the pc, but I`am determined. Forgot to mention should I wait for the new nvidia graphics cards to come out.

$3000 is way more than enough for a good PC. If you want, and do not mind the loss of Gsync, you can swap out the monitor in this build with these:

1. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/yRdFf7/samsung-lc32hg70qqnxza-490-3840x1080-144hz-monitor-lc32hg70qqnxza - 31.5" 1440p monitor with 1 ms and 144 Hz

2. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/hLYWGX/samsung-c34f791-340-3440x1440-100hz-monitor-lc34f791wqnxza - Ultrawide 3440 x 1440p monitor with 100 Hz.
