Hi everyone sorry if this is in the wrong section first time posting here.

So I'm having fps drops in games from about 60 to 20/30 for a split second and happens every minute or so Fortnite stw in particular and happens in Wildlands too but worse like a freeze I have had GPU-Z monitoring and taking logs from what I can see is the core clock and vram clock drop to idle speeds for that split second also noticed the cpu usage drops as it happens.

What I've tried so far :(
Checked Temps cpu 46°, gpu 60°
Motherboard 28°
Remove graphics drivers with ddu in safe mode
Installed latest Nvidia drivers
Removed Gigabyte Aorus
Ran a memtest no errors
Ran malwarebytes, roguekiller and adwcleaner
Used CCleaner to check the registry
Reset bios to optimized defaults
Reseated gpu and switched power connector
Set power options to high performance
Finally re installed windows last night and issue is still present but less frequently is Windows 10 the issue or hardware?

Gpu usage 100%
Cpu usage 50% average
Bottleneck is unlikely

Specs
Mobo: Asus M5a97 R2.0
Cpu: AMD fx 6300
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600
Gpu: Gigabyte 1050ti G1 4gb (new)
Gpu was bought 2 weeks ago
Psu: 750w Huntkey
Intel SSD 120GB for Windows
1TB WD Blue for games
3TB Seagate for backup data
No optical drive
Windows 10 pro

Thank you

Hi thanks for the reply.

The problem only seems to occur in games from what I'm seeing video playback and music doesn't seem to be affected as for the drive Fortnite is on the SSD and Wildlands is on the WD 1TB drive both experience the same problem.
My Cpu clock is stock at 3.5GHz
Gpu clock is 1392 and boost is 1507 however HWMonitor reports it at 1810??
Gigabyte Aorus reports it 1507 in OC mode
I've already tried OC mode, gaming mode and silent mode with no difference to the issue

Edit: overclocking the Cpu or using boost has no affect on the issue either

After Doseq said reseat the the DVI cable I decided to reseat everything inside and outside the computer no idea what was the issue but the fps drops are gone and gpu clocks stay at load speeds. Thank you
