Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 Memory Kit- Red LED Lighting - This is the RAM sticks i would like to upgrade too.

I have a ASUS® STRIX B250H GAMING board.

My question is that the board says that it can only support 2133MHz RAM. Does this mean that RAM with a higher MHz wont run properly. Or does it mean it will just cap at 2133?

Solution

No performance issue for that reason. If its not on QVL, it might or might not work. But if it works, it should work like any other kit.

I have a question of my own...My a68hm grenade motherboard is supposed to be able to support 1333 MHz, 1600 MHz, 1866 MHz and 2133 MHz but if it means up to 2200 MHz then why would there be four different numbers?
