Hi all!

Need a bit of advice. I'll be building a new gaming rig soon and do not currently have a system (went to console for a while as I didn't have space for a desk). My budget is around €800-€900 but obviously the cheaper the better.

My main dillema is whether to go for a RX 580 4GB or a GTX 1060 3GB GPU. In my area the 580 is around €20 more expensive so I can just about stretch the budget to accommodate it.

I'll be gaming on a 27" 1080p curved monitor which I have not yet purchased so depending on the card I buy, the monitor will feature either G-sync or Freesync. With G-sync obviously being much more expensive I'm currently leaning towards the 580 4GB with the Freesync monitor.

The games I play include

Ark: Survival Evolved
Minecraft
Fortnite
PUBG
Rust
& a load of AAA titles like GTA V, COD etc...

Any advice? Thanks all!

Both are good cards and perform around the same range. The 1060 is a bit faster on dx11 and the 580 on dx12 titles, on synthetic benchmarks. But with the 580, you save on FreeSync and get the extra vRAM.
580 should be good for you.
