Hi all first off system specs are as follows
I5 7600k
16gb ddr4
Msi z270a pro motherboard
Evga g2 650 watt gold powersupply
GTX 780

So my pc froze up randomly and will not boot, it simply displays a black screen on both the gpu output and the integrated graphics, I could not get into good either it just displayed entering setup, so I unplugged my ssd which has my win 10 install on it and the pc boots and allows me to access the bios, so do I need to reinstall Windows or is this another problem?

Steps tried so far
Clearing cmos

Moving Gpu into a different pcie slot as the vga debug light comes on with the ssd plugged in

Reseating all hardware in the motherboard including connectors

Thanks in advance

With the drive plugged in can you still see the bios and then it goes to a black screen? Cause your windows could be corrupt. Sometimes if you keep shutting your pc down while its in the windows logo it can start a boot startup repair. If you have another computer you could try to install the same ssd and see if the drive works or not.

If you really want to: do you have any windows repair tools? You could try to boot from that and deleting your partitions and reinstall windows, but you would loose your data.

It doesn't display the Windows logo and momentarily flashes the bios with the ssd plugged In, I'm not too bothered about reinstalling Windows so I think I'm going to create a bootable usb and reinstall as it seems to be the only option
