I attempted to clone my HDD unto an SSD and then tried booting the system from the SSD, but I come up with the BOOTMGR is missing error-restart? How do i fix this so I can boot from my new SSD and not the old harddrive?

Solution
In general you need to do the following:
1. reduce the volume size of your hdd to match the size of your ssd
2. download clonezilla or some other equivalent
3. boot from the clonezilla cd
4. do full disk copy from hdd to ssd
5. remove hdd
6. boot from ssd.

As I said before, how did you clone your disk?

You need to us something like clonezilla and clone from disk to image or direct to devise (ssd).

Be warned though that typically your hdd will be larger than your ssd, so you may need to shrink your hdd boot partition to the size of your ssd.

It can be done as I have done it many times, but you need to also include the boot partition when you clone.
