I want to buy a Nvidia gtx 1080 ti for august but I heard about the new graphics card line up and was thinking should I just save my money for the new 1180 ti but I also would like it from a 3 party vendor is it worth the wait or should I just by the EVGA 1080 ti in August

There is no telling what is going to happen in the next three months. Purchase what you can, when you can. There is no avoiding buyer's remorse.

Why ask now if you don't even intend on buying a card until August? By then, the 1180 should be out, and we will likely have a better idea of what the performance of the new series will be like. It's possible that even the 1180 may be faster than a 1080 Ti, in which case you might go for one of those.
