My MSI Z370m failed after Bios update.

I updated the Bios as per the procedure laid out by MSI. The computer went to restart after the update was successful and then it went into a loop of restarting. Windows came up with an error (in the most basic graphics) that there was a problem with windows and it had to restart. It did this incessantly. So I tried to boot from a windows USB and it said something along the lines of the kernel is missing. I've shipped the motherboard to the repair center to fix the Bios but I'm worried that once I get it all put back together there's going to be a problem with windows. I thought maybe it was doing this because the Bios was flawed but I have no idea. I wish I had more information but I don't.

No, but windows had updated the same day as the Bios update.

The windows update restarted the computer. Then I downloaded the bios update to USB and proceeded to update the bios.

Did you read that when you update bios, it reset all the settings?

Yes, so after having it on XMP since before the update I turned it back on after the new update.
