Please I seriously need help, I originally had installed on my laptop a windows 7 OS , then later on I decided to create a partition on my head drive so that I could also instal windows 10 OS. I later decided to just stick with the windows 10 and stopped using my windows 7. So I accidentally formatted the original partition which contained the windows 7 and now my laptop won't boot even though I still have windows 10 installed on the hard drive.

Solution
Do you have a spare disk? I'd highly recommend making a clone if anything goes bad.

If you don't have a backup already.

Make a live usb stick with parted magic (free). ntfs 3g (installed in PM) using ntfsfix /dev/yourdrive command should be able to repair it. lsblk will show your disks.
