Hello,
I'm changing the CPU and motherboard, and have a standard PSU of 500w that came with the case. I will be replacing the parts myself for the very first time, so I won't go to a pc shop that may warn me of wattage shortage in case there is any. I'd like therefore to know if 500w is enough for the following:
- GigaByte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming
- AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (cpubenchmark.net claims 65w usage for this cpu)
- GT 740
- 2x4GB DDR4 2600Mhz ram
- WD 500GB Sata3/16MB/3.5'
- Asus DVD RW Bulk SATA
- Monitor Asus VS197DE 18.5'
- Realtek Digital Output (not sure about this one)
- I don't know the size of my fans but they are probably not big.
- Standard Mouse and Keyboard (very basic cheap ones, no lights)
I checked the best I could in https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator and I had about 340W of recommended PSU Wattage. I will be using the PC extensively for gaming. Please share your thoughts, I'm hoping a confirmation that I won't need to change the PSU. Thanks!
