GPU 3D usage spikes to 100% and black screens without being in game

My computer has been consistently freezing and black screens when I'm using it outside of gaming. I know for a fact that it is a hardware issue. I tested it using another monitor and cable. I also checked using Memtest and fully reset my computer.

OS: Windows 10 x64
Processor: Intel I5-7500 @ 3.40Ghz 3401 Mhz, 4 Cores

Gpu: Nvidia Geforce 1050 Ti

Ram: 16 gb

if it's a hardware issue, replace the hardware that is bad. If you are not sure what is bad, need more details about exactly what is happening, when it started, what you tried already. Did you try with a different video card? Test the system without the card? Check to make sure temps are OK?
