How to speed up download from qnap NAS link

I was sent links to some vids that are stored on qnap NAS.
Is there a way I can speed up the downloading to my PC?
If I use an internet download manager, will that help?
Right now, I am just opening the links in Chrome, and downloading that way, but it's slow.

Its either your download speed or upload speed of the NAS owner. If you usually reach higher download speed then you should contact the NAS owner that gave you the links and ask if his upload speed is not limited. I guess that he just have slow ethernet and he wont be able to serve you faster speed. But of course he could also limit his upload speed manually.

You see, it's not my NAS at all. Somebody emailed me links to download from his NAS.
Question is whether I can speed up the process of downloading the files from these emailed links.
