I have a G4560 w/ Gigabyte h110n on my sg13 case. Im planning to upgrade because i recently bought a 1060 and its being bottledneck. ill buy new rams so getting a 3200 is not a problem.

I wanted to know which option is better, buy a 6500/7500 or go with Ryzen 3 2200g w/Gigabyte ab350n board.

My only concern is if i buy the 2200g ill need to sell my current board and cpu. I can sell it around 120$ at my country(Philippines), i bought it for around 140$ its only a few months old. If i go with the i5 it will probably cost around 120-180 depending on condition and model.

If i sell my board and cpu and buy the ryzen 3 total cost is around 230$, minus the money i can get from my current ones probably 120$. i will probably need to spend 110$ more.

Please help me decide which one is faster and best value for money.Im thinking if i buy the R3 i can probably get more performance for cheaper but im not sure so please help me

Solution

Depends what you want if you're just gaming intel are still the better option but you'll be locked into the 7th gen CPUs and you can't OC on that board. With Ryzen you have supportfor the board until 2020 as long as you update your BIOS but you already have a GPU so why not go for the 1400 with 8 threads and more PCIE lanes? the 2200g only has 8 PCIE lanes.

No the 2200g only has 8 that aren't tied to the APU so you can only use a 8x PCIE slot I believe.
