Do I need new drivers for my new GPU?

Yes you do.
First, before taking the old card out, download and run DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html scroll down a bit for the download sites. Boot in safe mode and run it, it will remove your old drivers and prevent any issues they may cause.
Then swap cards over and boot up you computer, then go to the NVidia website http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx fill in the fields for your card and OS, then download and run the recommended driver.
