Hello guys, I have a problem, my RAM is 16GB Dual-Channel ( a kingston model , I dont remember the exact name) and its running in 1334 MHz while it says it can run in 2666 MHz. I googled it and watched some videos, however even if I enable the XMP and choose the 2666 MHz option, it still runs in 1334 MHz. I can't understand what I am doing wrong, I have tried pretty much everything. My motherboard is a MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING 3X. Thanks in advance.

Solution
That's how it is supposed to be - the displayed RAM speed is actually multiplied by two, since it is 'DDR', i.e., Double Data Rate. Your RAM is running at the speed it is supposed to, no problems.

Thank you guys for your help. Windows task manager indeed reads 2667 MHz but I was seeing speccy and cpu-z readings that read 1334. So last thing, I enabled XMP so should I turn it off now that my RAM is running as intended? Or should I keep it on?
