So the question is should i buy a 1070 ti now or should i wait for some price drops and then maybe hit the store...or should i completely wait for the new gpu lineup from nvidia...i want to buy a new gpu asap ofc but i dont want to buy a 1070 ti and then look at people paying the same price or little bit more for much more better performance than my new gpu.....i currently have a ryzen 1600 and a rx 580 in my pc...and another question that i want to ask is....are gpus like the 1070 ti and the 1080 going to drop down in prices when the new lineup comes or are they still going to stay at the same prices....i found one gtx 1070 ti for around 590$....and there is going to be a friday 13th if im not mistaken in 6th month so should i wait for that too?....this might be a lot of questions but im confused af and i want some halp....thanks for reading and answering in advance..have a good day!

Current rumor is Nvidia will start production of their next desktop (gaming) graphics card in June and will be announced then. So if you aren't in a hurry waiting might pay off, though I'd expect cards to be available for purchase a couple of months later (say August). That's all of course based on what amounts to rumor and it may turn out Nvidia won't release anything until after AMD decides to bring out their next offering - and no one knows when that will be.

There are other reasons to wait. "Turing" (the rumored name of the next Nvidia gaming GPU generation) might well perform enough better to warrant the wait, especially in floating point and DirectX 12 performance where AMD Radeon tends to be better, despite being more expensive...
I would ask why you feel you need to upgrade from an RX 580? That is a fine gaming card. Are you planning on doing something different? Is the 580 holding you back in some competitive gaming? Because if there is nothing wrong with the RX 580, you should wait for the next gen NVidia cards.

Otherwise, if you need your upgrade, get it sooner rather than later, because no one knows what will happen to the market. There could be a great new crypto coin that will land us right back where we were 4 or 5 months ago.

please comas and breaklines :)
I would wait. RX 580 is solid performer, and prices WILL drop, right now its ~110% MSRP.
Afer new release it might be 95-100 % of MSRP. Also you might want to get 1170 instead, depending on the features.
Black friday is not something to wait for if you want specific hardware.
MSRP of 1070 is 350$ and 1070 ti was 449. Current price you see is still way up, so its worth to wait.

I'd wait just to see if the better DX12 performance is actually better myself.

But, depending on your needs you can hardly go wrong, just quit worrying about something coming that ends up better at the same cost as what you buy today! There is ALWAYS something better coming along. If you are gaming at 1080p then a 1070Ti/1080 will be fine for years to come. If you are gaming at 1440p or higher and want to maintain better than 120fps on your 120 or higher refresh rate monitor, then I'd definitely recommend waiting. If you want to buy now a GTX 1080Ti would be a better choice (if you are gaming at 1440p or higher, etc.)

Hope I didn't confuse you more, heh. Bottom line, I recommend waiting. But there is nothing wrong with buying now.

Yeah go for it, as 1080s won’t be outclassed as slower in a long while I imagine, however get ready to sell that Radeon when the time is right.
