Disclaimer: I didn't know if I should put this in the motherboards category or Networking category so I put it here.

So I've got a question regarding an M.2 network adapter. This one to be exact: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIABP55DM1726&cm_re=802.11_ad-_-9SIABP55DM1726-_-Product

What I need to know, because I can't find anything on M.2 Key A, is will this work in an M.2 key M slot on the ASRock H310M-ITX/ac (https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H310M-ITXac/#Specification)?

Part of the reason I'm asking is because I know someone who may be interested in switching to an AD router. I know that AD wifi wont work unless you're sitting right next to the router, but he's going to be hardwired to it, and the rest of his family is going to be connected wireless. If they all have AC wifi on their devices, will they be able to connect to the router and use the AC wifi at an effective speed on the other end of the house as the router on the 5GHz band of the Netgear Nighthawk X10? http://www.netgear.com/landings/ad7200/default.aspx

I would GREATLY appreciate any answers that help me understand all this better. Thanks guys!
