Why is my boost clock so high?

I have a asus dual gtx 1060 6gb that is only supposed to boost up to 1809mhz. But whenever it has a workload it goes up to 1950-1970mhz! I checked msi afterburner if I accidentally left any overclocks on and no I do not. Why is this happening and could this cause games to crash or harm the gpu? Temps usually are pretty cool around 66 celcius.

Solution
gpu boost will boost the card to its highest preset, much higher than the advertised speed, if the power and thermal allows, it will continue to run at speed. Your boost clock on the box is almost like a minimum speed for boost.
