Graphics card not detected

I just finished building my PC booted it up and installed Windows. I'm using it right now but its in 1024 x 768 resolution and I can't find my graphics card anywhere. I have a gtx 1060, it's plugged in the 6 pin is plugged into the PSU and the fans are working.

Do you have your monitor cable attached to your 1060 GPU port or attached to one of the motherboards video ports?
What is your motherboard brand and model?
GPUz install, and screen capture if possible.

It's connected to the GPU, i don't know if this could be the problem but idk if I pushed it in hard enough into the mobo like I had to with the ram sticks.

_device manager: check display adapter name
_Right click on desktop and check if Nvidia control panel is present in the context menu

There's no Nvidia control panel in the right click options on the desktop

Sounds like you need to install the Nvidia display driver. https://www.geforce.com/drivers

_download install latest Nvidia software it might not had been installed correctly.
