I am going to buy a GK106 or GK104 graphics card that will be inserted in a Dell Optiplex 380 motherboard. At the moment I plan to buy Quadro K4000, but I am not sure if this card will work with Optiplex 380 MOBO because previously I tried to install an GeForce GTX 645 card but it does not work (the monitor is all black). However Quadro K600 works fine with Optiplex 380. So, if you tested before, or happen to have the hardware at hand to conduct the test, could you please tell me if Quadro K4000 will work with Optiplex 380 motherboard? The model of Optiplex 380's MOBO is HN7XN. Its North Bridge is G41 and the South Bridge is ICH7. More details of this motherboard can be find here: http://www.findlaptopdriver.com/dell-hn7xn-motherboard-specifications/.

Thank you for your help!

Solution
Usually GPU problems with Dells revolve around not removing the old graphics driver first.
In Safe Mode (F6) create a System Restore point, then remove old GPU drivers. Swap GPU and in Safe Mode+ Internet install new GPU drivers.
FWIW I'm running a GTX1050Ti 4GB in mine.
